So, today I received the most exciting delivery of breakfast goods from the good people of Newburn Bakehouse. Not only did they enclose some more of their delicious gluten free crumpets, there’s also a variety of different toppings to give us some new ideas that’ll spice up breakfast time!
If you haven’t yet tried Newburn Bakehouse’s gluten free crumpets, they’re soft, fluffy and with plenty of holes they are perfect toasted for soaking up butter and jam for a tasty snack. You can try topping with bacon and egg for a twist on breakfast, try a bit of avocado for a kind of ‘hipster brunch’ effect, orrrrr…. I really like to smother them in nutella (healthy, I know).
ALSO check this out – a glutopia knife!
The personalised knife came from La De Da Living – if you’d like one of your very own you can get it here. It’s just what my brekkies have been missing all this time. The excitement is too much, I promise you!

We’re really pleased to announce that we’ve tried the brand new Newburn Bakehouse by Warburtons Gluten Free Crumpets – and they’re sooooo good.
Warburtons is known for its great gluten-full crumpets, so we’re glad they kept the standards as high for their gluten free version.
The team tells us they put all their baking experience and Warburtons crumpet know-how into making delicious crumpets that will bring joy to your gluten free meal times. And they certainly have – in fact we ate the whole pack in one go #sorrynotsorry.
The gluten, wheat and milk free crumpets are made in our dedicated gluten free bakery in Newburn by an experienced team of bakers.
Head baker, Dave Mulvey said “We’re really excited to be launching this product in to the market, It’s been 18 months since we started putting together the recipe and after many hours perfecting the product, we believe we’ve achieved exactly what we set out to do; to make a gluten free crumpet that lives up to the Warburtons name.
Find out more about the new product and where you can get your hands on them here.
The good folk of Newburn Bakehouse have been in touch with some lovely news I thought I’d share with you all. Their delicious sandwich thins are now much healthier (and still delicious – don’t worry, I’ve checked).
The new and improved recipe means that both flavours of the gluten free sandwich thins by Newburn Bakehouse are now a lot lighter. In fact, there’s 30% less calories per thin than in the previous recipe. Win, win.
Oh and they’re BIGGER too. What is this, witchcraft? Maybe.
The new recipe comes fully and happily approved by me who has eaten a whole packet of both flavours, in the name of research.
The packaging is all new and lovely looking too, so look out for it. If you want to see where you can get some check out this stocklist locator.
Warburtons has announced the launch of brand new gluten, wheat and milk free Mighty Mini loaves!! Available now from Morrisons, the new Mighty Mini loaves offer a more conveniently sized loaf but with full size slices and retaining the key nutritional benefits of our existing farmhouse range, and they taste mighty fine too!
When there’s only one person in the household following a gluten, wheat and milk free diet, it can be difficult to finish a full loaf before expiry. So this new range is great, providing more choice for smaller households, without worrying about expiry dates and all that nonsense!
And the best bit? They haven’t compromised on slice size. With an RRP of £1.99, it’s worth a try whether you’re already on a gluten free diet or just starting out.
The new range is available now and includes a White and Seeded variety with the seeded loaf containing a delicious mix of sunflower seeds, linseeds, millet seeds and poppy seeds. Both loaves are a source of fibre, iron and calcium, low in saturated fat and low in sugars.
The Mighty Mini loaves are on sale now from Morrisons. We like!
If you’re looking for a new tea brand to try, you need to check out Adagio Teas. Their loose leaf teas are amongst the best I’ve tried… even better than my previous favourite – Tea Pigs!
Adagio’s hand picked teas, which of course are gluten free, are sourced directly from origin and come in a range of flavours to suit any taste or occasion. I tried a few of their recommended blends, including Earl Grey Moonlight, Caramel, Blood Orange herbal tea and Green Coco Mint tea.
My favourite was, beyond a doubt, the delicious Earl Grey Moonlight. I fear I am now addicted to the stuff. Comforting flavours of vanilla and cream combine to soften the citrus notes of traditional Earl Grey. It’s actually incredibly creamy but not sweet. So tasty!
I also discovered an amazing invention any tea lover needs! The IngenuiTEA teapot (£16) is the most convenient device for brewing loose leaf tea – take that from a lazy tea bag loving person!
All you do is add leaves, pour hot water and let them steep. When ready, simply place it atop your cup. This will cause a valve at the bottom to release: crystal-clear tea flows down, while the mesh filter retains all the tea leaves. The tea brewer is also super easy to clean – just rinse it out with water or pop it into the dishwasher. I’m wondering how I got along without one! IngenuiTEA is BPA-free and fits all cups up to 9.5cm in diameter. You can buy one here.
You can see the full Adagio range and order online on their website, give them a try I say!
