Perk Up with Gluten Free Perkier Porridge

British company Perkier specialises in gluten free and wheat free food, but their breakfasts are particularly brilliant. Perkier porridge comes in many different flavours, and they’re all completely gluten free, high in fibre and low in saturated fats. They’re also a good source of protein, so they’ll keep you fuller for longer too.

We tried their ‘fruity berry’ Perkier porridge, and can report that it surpassed our expectations – and we LOVE our porridge. It’s full of scrumptious dried fruit and has a lovely berry flavour, just perfect for cooler autumn mornings!

But that’s not even the best bit. This porridge is totally microwave friendly – unlike most where microwaving runs the risk of a mid-cook explosion, and an insurmountable amount of cleaning that just makes you want to cry and throw the whole bloody machine out of the window.

Not with Perkier, just add four tablespoons of porridge to the bowl, with 175ml of water or milk, cook for 2.5 minutes and you get perfect porridge every time. Porridge eruptions are now a thing of the past in Glutopia, thanks be to Perkier.

  1. Looks so lovely! I might give Perkier a go – now that it’s getting colder my usual muesli/yoghurt/almond milk/fruit/nuts/seeds combo isn’t quite as appealing as a warm bowl of porridge, especially if it’s so quick and doesn’t require standing by the hob stirring! Hopefully somewhere near me stocks the stuff. Rosie x

    • Yes we’d definitely recommend, love porridge in the autumn/winter! Perkier is available at most big supermarkets, let us know what you think 🙂 x
